Genius Of The Week - 5

Each week I will choose something and it will be your task to guess what it is. As the week progresses I will add clues to the GOTW post until someone guesses it. The person with the correct guess will get their name and link (if applicable) put under the title "Genius Of The Week" in my sidebar for the remainder of that week (or until I get around to removing it).

GOTW #5 is closed. The clues were:

1 - predator
2 - inquisitive
3 - thief
4 - sable, cinnamon, DEW
5 - weasel war dance

Wendy
is the winner with the answer: Ferret !

I read in blog etiquette that it very obnoxious to always be "first" in someones comment section, I shall wait most impatiently for the "other".

We don't follow that etiquette here. I just ask that you don't post more than 1 guess in short succession.

What are Barracudas?

Alex, that would be a pussy cat.

A cat. I know this because mine skillfully killed a baby mouse last night, but not before she spent a good amount of time playing with it.

Madonna in Malawi.

Dang, I was gonna say cat too, but IW beat me. Like, cat burglar, curiosity killed the cat, cat...predator. Cat killer? That last one, I don't know.

I've never typed out the word burglar before and I don't know how to spell it. So I typed out Hamburglar and deleted the ham. It worked.

Burglar and burgle are funny sounding words to me. I wrote a short post about them once.

I'm too old to know what DEW means, and my daughter can really get pissy with me for asking her dumb computer questions. Then she just chases me off the keyboard 'cause she says I'm just an em-bare-ass-ment to the rest of the savy world. Sorry.

Wendy said...

I'm guessing a ferret.

Maelstrom said...

Mink was pretty close @eloh, sorry! DEW (dark-eyed white), sable, and cinnamon are common colors for a ferret.

Jeanne said...

Okay, I need to get here sooner -- I used to own a ferret. (Although I still probably wouldn't have gotten it.)

@eloh said...

Thanks Maelstrom...you know what they say, close only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades.

This is probably the only time in my life I will get the moniker of genius. I'm so proud! :)
